Peer Review Statement

Communication for College, Career, and Civic Life was produced with support from the Regents Open Educational Resources Grant Program in 2021. As part of the grant, this book received publication and production support from the Iowa State University Digital Press, including a formal peer review process with input from 7 subject matter experts and instructors who teach courses in communication and public speaking.

The review for this book was structured around considerations related to the text’s usefulness as a teaching resource based on a rubric, rating the text on various aspects of its organization and content. The rubric was adapted from the Open Textbook Library’s Review Rubric. Following the peer review process, changes suggested by the reviewers were incorporated by the authors into the book’s final draft for publication.
