Corn Deficiency Symptoms

These photos were taken at the end of June, in a cool, wet spring. Corn on the slope shows the yellow striping, but corn at the top and bottom of the hill do not show the same pattern, in spite of being the same variety and planted on the same day. These plants were slightly smaller than the ones at the bottom of the hill. The soil core pictured on the right was pulled from the location showing the deficiency patterns:
