Review Statement

Introduction to Woodworking Machines was reviewed on campus by woodshop training and occupational safety experts familiar with the woodworking studio and machinery featured in the textbook. Feedback was also provided from an external peer expert. Reviewers used a rubric based on the Open Textbook Library’s Review Rubric. Additionally, the text was piloted in woodworking classes taught by the lead author at Iowa State University in Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. The author incorporated changes suggested by the reviewers and student feedback before wider release of the published version.
