Deciding to be a Music Major

Part I of this book contains information about majoring in music for prospective students. This opening section will provide information about deciding whether to major in music, the types of music majors and degrees that are available, some things you can do with a music degree, choosing your major and school, preparing for your audition, and coursework that you should expect on the path to a music degree. While this information contains general advice and information, please know that every school will have some unique and specific requirements and procedures and further, specific research will be required as you make your decisions.
