For many years the GRE, a standardized test which assesses verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing, has been a required component of graduate school applications regardless of discipline and degree program. However, after the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a shift away from the GRE as a requirement, yet this varies widely across institutions, programs, and disciplines. You are strongly encouraged to look into the program’s updated requirements as this can change on a yearly basis.
