Breaking Dormancy

do not focus on the forgetting
forgetting is all around us
the fields disked past the edge of town
it is the remembering that carries
the past into the moment
dormant seeds germinate and with
the right peace those scenes
that emerge show us again
and again what we thought
to be forgotten
