10.6 Part Writing, Non-Chord Tones: Aural Training exercises
Step 1) Listen to each harmonic progression, consisting of six triads and/or 7th chords in root-position or inversion.
Step 2) Sing along with the bass line and notate it on the staff. Then, sing along with the soprano line and notate it on the staff.

Step 3) Sing up and down each chord as it goes along, finding the notes of each along the way. For each chord, you will need to decide which soprano notes, if any, do not belong in the chord. Identify the quality and roman numeral of each chord.
Label the roman numeral and inversion of all six chords in each progression:
Step 4) Given your harmonic analysis, circle and label the non-chord tones in the soprano line on the staff
