5.1 Triads and Inversions: Aural Training exercises

Step 1) Listen to the string of six major or minor triads, each played up and down from the same bass (i.e. lowest) pitch. Each is played twice. Sing along with each the second time it is played. 


Step 2) Label each of the six triads by quality and inversion.

Step 3) Listen to the string of six major or minor triads, each played down and up from the same soprano (i.e. highest) pitch. Each is played twice. Sing along with each the second time it is played. 

Step 4) Label each of the six triads by quality and inversion (note: inversion is determined by the lowest pitch, not the first/last pitch in this case).
