11.1 Introduction to Harmonizing a Melody: Sight Singing exercises

Step 1) Sing the following melody, listening for the harmonic rhythm.

Step 2) Decide where the following chords fit under the melody (some may be used 

more than once): I  ii  IV  V  vi

Step 3) One a piano, play, or have a partner play, the chords you selected as you sing the melody in time.
