5.2 Seventh Chords and Inversions: Aural Training exercises
Step 1) Listen to the string of four major-minor 7th chords, each played up and down from the same bass (i.e. lowest) pitch. Each is played twice. Sing along with each the second time it is played.
Step 2) Label the inversion of each of the four major-minor 7th chords.
Step 3) Listen to the string of four major-minor 7th chords, each played down and up from the same soprano (i.e. highest) pitch. Each is played twice. Sing along with each the second time it is played.
Step 4) Label the inversion of each of the four major-minor 7th chords (note: inversion is determined by the lowest pitch, not the first/last pitch in this case).
